Ethio Agri-CEFT PLC. is a member of MIDROC Investment Group PLC, established on Tahisas 23, 1990 E.C.
It proudly operates medium to large-sized farms, cultivating a diverse range of agricultural products. The company first started with developing the Gumaro farm, then proceeded to develop Wush-wush tea farm. The Company has since made further expansions by privatizing Bir and Ayehu farms.

The company manages 15 farms with up to 31,000 hectares of land all together being developed by it. Wush-wush and Gumaro tea developments are focused on tea plantation, harvesting and producing readymade tea.Gemadro, Duyena, Ayehu and Beha coffee plantations are focused on coffee, honey and spices harvesting while Holeta, Bahirdar & Ethio Dream are working on flowers, fruits and vegetables.

In addition, Ayehu, Lay Bir, Humera and Raya farm developments produce sugar canes & oil seeds, fruits and vegetables, spices and herbs, aromatic essential oils and others. Furthermore, the company has recently acquired a tea processing plant and Agro processing plant found in Ayehu farm development.The distribution of the farms is as follows: Four of the farms are located in SNNPR in South Western Ethiopia, Five are in the Amhara regional state, four are located in the Oromia regional state and two are located in the Tigray regional state while, the tea processing plants are located in the capital Addis Ababa.

CHEMICAL TRADING

After the establishment of chemical and seed sales the company has started to import fertilizers, pesticides and various vegetable seed. These imported items are distributed at a fair and reasonable price.
Since the establishment of the department:

The company has worked as an agent with 3 Chinese companies.
In addition it has worked alongside Indian and Israeli manufacturers.
8 pesticide chemicals have been launched helping the company serve national interests.

Since tea leaf harvesting needs a lot of manpower, the company has been able to employ many people on permanent and temporary basis enabling the society to earn income.
All the employees of the company are being given continuous training to improve their skills.
For the staff in the farms the company offers residence houses, water, electricity, and health care and entertainment facilities.
The company has established schools from nursery to secondary stages and provided the necessary materials of use for the children of the staff.

ETHIO DREAM, FLOWER FARM

Ethio dream farm was established in 2001 by four foreign investors. It was transferred from these investors to MIDROC and Sheikh Mohammed Husein Ali Al-Amoudi on April 20, 2006. Then from November 9 / 2016 to July 1 / 2020 G.C, it was under MIDROC Technology and currently a member of Ethio Agri-CEFT of MIDROC Investment Group under Agro Cluster after the reform that took place in the company.
The main purpose of the farm is to produce different types of quality flower (rose) products. The farm is located in Holeta city in the western part of Oromia region in Tulu Harbu kebele.
It is located at a distance 35 km from Addis Ababa at an altitude of 2,400 meters above sea level and has a pleasant climate. The farm covers 21.17 hectares. Out of this, 8.56 hectares are for greenhouse flower production; outside the greenhouse, it uses about 2 hectares to produce edible vegetable products; the product processing unit is 1,200 sqm.
The rest of the area has two water wells and a river that flows throughout the year.
The main activities of the farm are:

Producing different types of flowers.
Producing edible plants and providing them to the workers and the local community.

For the past 18 years, the farm has supplied various flower products to foreign markets, contributing to our country’s foreign currency earnings.
