Senior officials from Starbucks International Coffee Trading Company visited the Horizon Plantations under MIDROC Investment Group to observe coffee production procedures and the quality control measures in place.

The delegation included Michelle Burns Executive Vice President of Global Coffee & Sustainability, Andres Berron, Managing Director and Vice President, Elliot Bentzen, Director of Trading.

Who were warmly welcomed by MIDROC Investment Group’s CEO Mr. Jemal Ahmed and other officials at the Sheraton Addis a Luxury Collection Hotel.

During their visit, the Starbucks team was provided with a detailed overview of the high-quality coffee products produced by MIDROC, which are aimed at the global market.

Vice President Michelle Burns and the delegation highlighted their appreciation for the professionalism and the strict standards followed at the Horizon Plantations, which ensures top-tier coffee production.

Mr. Jemal Ahmed emphasized that the visit would further strengthen the longstanding relationship between MIDROC Investment Group and Starbucks, a globally recognized leader in coffee retail sector.

He also noted the significance of the cooperation in supporting the coffee industry and promoting Ethiopia’s coffee heritage on the world stage.

Starbucks officials also toured one of the six Limmu farms, the Limmu Kossa Coffee Farm during their stay in Ethiopia.

MIDROC Investment Group is renowned internationally for its large-scale coffee production, including six prominent farms located in Bebeka, Limmu, Ayehu, Gemadro, Duyena, and Beha Coffee Farms, which supply top-quality coffee for export markets.
